devotions.

every so often i switch up my devotions. some nights i read scripture, some nights i read devotional books, sometimes i read christian teachings and sometimes i feel so tired that i neglect this important part of the day.

however, the past few months i have realized that sometimes when i am getting ready for bed, i feel called to read a certain book. now, i don't know if its just my eye catching a books title and choose that that should be my devotion for the day, or if i really feel led to read things.

every time that i have been led to read a certain devotion, it oddly and incredibly pertains to my life and what is going on. tonight, i was led to read, fearless by max lucado. there were a few scriptures and passages from the chapter that i read that stuck out to me like a sore thumb:

"...I am leaving you with a gift--a peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid" ( John 14:27)

"...I am going away. You are entering a new season, a different chapter. Much will be different, but one thing remains constant: my presence..."

Heavens message is clear: when everything else changes,
God's presence never does...

Maybe these encouraging words will help you through your caffeinated life as well..
