bewildered.

why is it that in high school you have to be at school at 750 every morning for 5 days a week. for me that meant waking up around 615, showering, CURLING my hair, eating some breakfast at dunks and then getting to school all gussied up around 740.

however, in college, some semesters i did not have class until about noon some days. and now that i have an internship and i actually have to get up around 630 again, i am all out of wack. the school systems should reconsider their timing.

i don't like my alarm clock right now.

living far away from family is hard.

My family is pretty close. Considering all that we have gone through in our lives, we have had to be this way. We have had to stick together.

But...

Slowly one by one my family is leaving. I want to saying that they are leaving "me" but that's not the case. My brother went to be with his lovely wife who lives in Santa Barbara. And my sister and her husband wanted to move away from the cold and out to Huntington Beach. So now, its just me and my mom here in Boston.

At first the transition of seeing my family a few times a year was hard. And then it got easier. But now it is hard again. Especially since my older sister who I love very much is expecting a baby in August. Now, I will always be considered, "the aunt out east".

But...

I will survive. I always do.

its hard keeping a secret.

I have learned over the years that it is really hard to keep a secret about something, even if you are the one throwing a surprise. This past weekend was one of my best friends birthdays and I decided to throw her a surprise party/overnight stay at the Hotel that I work at. Even though I want to go into the field of event planning, it is quite different to plan an event (especially a surprise) for someone that lives in the room next to you and commutes with you to work. I think I prefer spending other peoples money and planning other peoples parties.

I think it was a success though with close friends and cheap champagne.

Quick Note.

Someone once told me that when you love your job, you never work a day in your life. I think that I have found my calling and once I graduate there will be few days where I actually work.

A Walk to the Train

i am a slave to the train and it schedules. the blue sticky seats, the smells, and the jaded look of people who have been working for many years who are staring at their cell phones and sad about life makes me want to sit next to all of them and have a conversation asking, "is your life really that bad?"

sometimes, I prefer driving.
